HALO is strength, precision and functionality – for the determined athlete to whom training isn’t a hobby, it’s a lifestyle. HALO is designed for individuals who set high expectations for themselves and have a true passion for being active.

HALO originates from Newline, founded in 1981 by Helge Petersen, a professional soldier in the The Danish Special Forces. With great experience from parachuting and running, he developed a unique brand focusing on innovative, functional products with a high degree of details and comfort.

The DNA
Newline HALO was created in 2015 and is designed by Malkit Singh and Rasmus Storm. The brand is named after the parachute jump called "High Altitude Low Opening". The brand’s DNA is functionality and design within the 3 categories: Off-duty, Training and Uniform.

The HALO design is rooted in the universe surrounding the Danish Special Forces. Especially the parachute department Aalborg Tactical Wing at Air Force Base Aalborg, where the parachutes are repaired and packed, has inspired the design and the choice of materials and colors. HALO is tested in cooperation with soldiers from the Danish Special Forces.

High-altitude military parachuting is a method of delivering military personnel, military equipment and other military supplies from a transport aircraft at a high altitude with free-fall parachute insertion. Two techniques are used: HALO (high altitude – low opening) and HAHO (high altitude – high opening). In the HALO technique, the parachutist opens his parachute at a low altitude after free-falling for a period of time.
